A beautiful setting, stunning details, amazing dress, and a perfect day were the backdrop for this chic farm wedding in Elburn, Illinois. I really find myself in my element when I’m photographing the contrast between a vintage fur paired with coach flats and an old barn. It’s so inspiring and beautiful to see all the textures and different light of a beautiful fall day the end of October. One of my favorite shots of the day was Sarah’s amazing gown in the window of the old farmhouse kitchen. I brought along an antique, velvet hanger I bought on ebay years ago just for this shot.
The floral design for the day was completely perfect. The texture of berries, twigs, dahlias, and whatever else the uber-talented Wallflower Designs could throw at us was enough to make you sit down and smell the roses. Yeah, I said it, but it’s just true. 🙂
Gussied was the wedding band. Check them out sometime. They have an infectious sound.
And finally, Heritage Prairie Farm was the ceremony and reception location. Take a trip to the country some time to enjoy an afternoon shopping their farm store and surely dream of attending a wedding at this fantastic event space.
