One thing you should probably NOT know about me is I am a bit of a crafting geek. I love to send letters, paint, and have an unnatural obsession with postage stamps. I get very excited on wedding days about a lot of stuff, but particularly seeing the flowers, the dress, and the invitations. Something I really loved about this wedding, though, were the colors. Jessica called them “Sugar Plum”, which is a crafty way of saying purple, and Macaron (which is a shade of pink). I think this may be another new love of mine to find pretty ways of naming colors.
Ian and Jessica’s Fishermen’s Inn wedding day started out on one of the prettiest days in August. It was a perfect 72 degree day with lots of sun. Jessica walked down the aisle that day in a beautiful gown designed by Bijou Bridal. The couple were married inside under a fantastic circle arch of purples and pinks.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour outside on the patio and then moved into the large dining hall. Tables at dinner were so pretty, but the head table was a show stopper with tall columns of flowers at a table seating over 30 people.
I always love shooting weddings at Fishermen’s Inn for so many reasons. One being it’s the venue I really got my start at so many years ago. Since then, I have photographed almost 30 weddings here. Each one, however, is so unique and different. It’s really amazing how each couple’s style and event are always distinctly separate from others. I love it!
