Tomorrow is Halloween, so I thought it would be fun to share this rainy day shoot with you all complete with Batman, Superman, and Supergirl.

Eight years ago this month, I photographed a beautiful wedding of two very wonderful people.  Since then, I have had the privilege of photographing their family multiple other times.  I photographed their first and third children the week after they were born.  I have photographed family get togethers, birthdays, and special moments they wanted captured and have been grateful every time.  I even got to photograph a special father’s day present Erin had me do for Mike of the three kiddos.  So fun.

It’s always a treat when I get to work with this family and this was no exception.  We knew there was a chance of bad weather this day, but they were coming from sort of far away and it looked like the bad weather had passed.  Well, we got about ten minutes into the shoot and all of a sudden it was raining.  It continued to rain throughout the whole rest of the time, but we decided to have fun with it and that’s what we did.  I pulled out some umbrellas, we found some cover, and photographed some fun portraits. Then Erin and Mike helped the kids change into some super outfits and brought along some of their “favorite things” to do for fun.

We had a ball playing dress up and super heros in the warm rain and got to see the kids personalities shine.
