The Chicago Botanic Gardens are probably one of my all-time favorite locations for engagement sessions and wedding photography. It’s not only beautiful, but there are so many wonderful spots to explore and photograph. I don’t think I could ever hit them all no matter how many times I go back there.
It was the perfect backdrop for Rose and Riley’s engagement session. They both love to garden and know there stuff when it comes to horticulture. 🙂 I enjoyed hearing about their favorite veggies, herbs, flowers, fruit trees, and so much more during our session. Ryley told me the name of the beautiful purple “prickly bush” a couple of times, but, of course I forgot to write it down.
After the gardens, we headed to the beach for some romantic evening shots. There was no sunset that night at Glencoe Beach, but it was eerily pretty with just a touch of fog.
I can’t wait for this couple’s 2016 Heritage Prairie Farm wedding. I know it’s going to be a fabulous day to remember for everyone. Rose made the crate they used at the beach for a possible save-the-date picture. LOVE IT! She also made the “Mr and Mrs” we hung from the lifeguard chair.
